1st Time at The Range, Watch This Video

Your very first trip to a range can be a bit intimidating,

if not scary.

Don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have.

  • Listen to the Range Safety Officer (RSO).
  • Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.
  • Never Point a Gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
  • Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
  • Do Not, under any circumstances, carry a loaded gun into the range.

The Private Outdoor Shooting Gun Range Difference.

Our Private Outdoor Shooting Gun Range has the advantages of training in a private outdoor shooting range over a crowded and loud indoor range, highlighting how it can improve the learning experience for shooters, particularly for those in the process of developing their foundational shooting skills.

We have proven that a quieter, less crowded environment can lead to a more focused and effective training session without the distractions typically associated with indoor ranges, such as loud noises and the presence of other, possibly inexperienced shooters.

A more conducive learning environment aligns with your commitment to providing quality instruction and a safe, focused training experience.

Benefits of Training at a Private Outdoor Shooting Range:

Less Noise Pollution: Outdoor ranges generally have more space and open air, which helps to dissipate the sound of gunfire more effectively than indoor ranges, reducing the overall noise exposure to shooters.

Focused Environment: By removing the distractions of a crowded space and the noise from other shooters, students can focus better on their instructors and the skills they are being taught. This undivided attention facilitates better learning and skill development.

Real-World Conditions: Shooting outdoors can provide a more realistic experience in dealing with various environmental factors such as wind and lighting. Adjusting to these factors can benefit those who intend to use their shooting skills in outdoor scenarios.

Safety and Privacy: A private outdoor range offers a controlled environment with fewer shooters present, allowing for more personalized instruction and attention to safety protocols. The privacy of such a setting can also be comforting for beginners who may feel intimidated or self-conscious in a crowded indoor range.

Adaptability of Training Programs: Outdoor ranges often provide more flexibility regarding the types of firearms used and the training drills that can be conducted. This can allow for a more comprehensive training program tailored to the shooter's specific needs and goals.

Emphasizing these advantages, we attract students looking for a high-quality learning experience. It's essential, however, to also stress the importance of safety measures and environmental stewardship to ensure that the outdoor shooting practice remains sustainable and safe for everyone involved.

Liability Waiver & Range Safety Rules

At the Firing Line

NO more than ONE active shooter is allowed to be shooting in a lane at any given time.

Only ONE gun can be fired at a time; you may not shoot with a gun in each hand.

NO shooting the target while the carrier is in motion.

Children are required to wear double hearing protection (earplugs AND ear muffs).

Recommended minimum age is twelve years old.

Range Commands

  1. A “Hot” range means it is ok to shoot.
  2. A "Cease Fire or Cold Range" means, unload and Lock Back the slide to clear the chamber after that No one gets near a Gun, back off the firing line.
  3. Listen to the (RSO) What they say goes and you are not allowed to argue with them, these people aren’t on some kind of power trip.
  4. Their job, their sole purpose for existing is to make sure that you and everyone else in the room are as safe as humanly possible.  It is a difficult job and one they don’t take lightly.  If they make a mistake, if they miss one detail, there’s a good chance that someone will die.
  5. That range is my world and I'm graciously allowing you to shoot in it.
  6. During the transition time when you can go mess with your target set up at outdoor ranges, you will need to unload and lock your actions open.
  7. We require you use “chamber flags” which are plastic indicators that show there’s nothing in the chamber.
