Pre-requisites are the following:
NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course
(Not Blended)Instructor Lead Only, 8 Hours.
NRA Full Concealed Carry (CCW)
Draw from holster, 16 Hours.
Learn the knowledge and skills to carry,
store, FL Laws, shooting fundamentals,
ammo types, clearing malfunctions,
the aftermath, mindset, and legal defense.
(NO APPENDIX CARRY)
Course Pre-REQUISITES:
You should register at least 15 days in advance of class.
For this class, you will need the following:
Your firearm must be fully functional and have all
factory-installed safety devices intact and have
no dangerous modifications
(such as a "hair" trigger under 4 pounds, removed trigger guard, etc.).
A reliable, clean pistol with a strong side holster correctly
fits the firearm, completely covers the trigger guard, and
remains open when the gun is removed.
HOLSTERS MUST BE RIGID ENOUGH TO
REMAIN OPEN WHEN DRAWING
AND RE-HOLSTERING.
HOLSTERS MUST BE WORN ON THE
STUDENT FIRING SIDE, OUTSIDE THE WAISTBAND.
HOLSTERS MUST ALLOW THE SHOOTER TO
DRAW AND RE-HOLSTER WITH ONE HAND!
BLACKHAWK SERPA® HOLSTERS OR SIMILAR HOLSTERS
REQUIRING TRIGGER FINGER RELEASE MECHANISMS
ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CLASS!
THIGH HOLSTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CLASS!
FOBUS HOLSTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN OUR
CLASSES DUE TO RETENTION AND FIT ISSUES.
INSIDE THE WAISTBAND, HOLSTERS ARE
NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CLASS.
LEATHER HOLSTERS MUST BE RIGID ENOUGH TO
REMAIN OPEN WHEN THE GUN IS WITHDRAWN.

A magazine carrier with a couple of spare
magazines (we recommend at least 3),
Speed Loaders (recommended).
A QUALITY BELT DESIGNED TO CARRY A
HOLSTERS AND FIREARMS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
CONCEALMENT GARMENT – OPTIONAL,
NOT REQUIRED BUTTON DOWN SHIRT OR OTHER
LOOSE-FITTING CLOTHING TO CONCEAL THE PISTOL.
Holsters should be outside the waistband
rigid (Kydex or plastic) until the student has demonstrated
proficiency in the draw to carry inside the waistband.
Eyes and Electronic hearing protection are mandatory.
Appendix Carry is not permitted.
Ammunitions:
At least 300 rounds of new factory ammunition.
NO reloads, incendiary, tracers,
Only FMJ .380, 9mm, .40 cal, No magnum calibers.
The minimum age is 21 to participate in this course.
If you cancel attending more than 48 hours before the
scheduled start time of a class you will be reschedule for a later date.
Cancellations within 48 hours of a class are subject to a reschedule
to a later date, and no-shows do not qualify for any refund.
NRA Defensive Pistol Module Course Objectives:
To develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude to carry and
use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence.
Course Goal:
As a result of their participation in this course, your students

• The importance of carrying and using a pistol
responsibly and ethically for personal protection
• How the NRA Rules for Safe Gun
Handling is applied to concealed carry
• Basic principles of concealment
• Presenting a pistol – reholster
• Mental Awareness
• Mental Preparation to develop a defensive mindset for
carrying and using a pistol for personal protection
• Techniques for avoiding life-threatening confrontations
• Explain the psychological and physiological changes
that may occur during an attack
• Flash sight picture
• Reload under stress
• Clear standard stoppages – immediate action drills
• Present a pistol from concealment and reholster
• Cover and concealment
• Present a pistol from concealment and shoot
targets at varying distances
• Move off the line of attack and shoot
• Qualify for the NRA Defensive Pistol Certificate
• Pocket Pistols

Target and Scoring the NRA
Defensive Pistol Qualification
The target to be used for this qualification
is an FBI qualification target or
an NRA D-1 target.
Any hits inside the bottle on the
FBI target or the scoring rings on the
D-1 count, and all rounds must hit.
During this course, the two most
important safety rules are,
ALWAYS keep your gun
pointed in a safe direction
ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger
until ready to shoot.
